Route Position

KayakNav needs to keep track of its relative position on the current Route. It keeps track of the Route Position so that it can correctly interpret the Route and handle processing at the Start Line and the Finish Line. It has values of unknown, before start, on course, after finish. Also knows the spacial extents of the Route so that it can auto-zoom on a timed basis. You can monitor the current Route Position by displaying the appropriate Info Cell.

KayakNav also monitors how closely you follow the line drawn directly between the previous Waypoint and the next Waypoint. If you display the appropriate Info Cell, you can monitor your course tracking down to the millimetre if your Unit of Measure is set to display metric.
