North Pointer

The NorthPointer is a red arrow at the top left of the screen. It points North irrespective of the orientation of your device or the direction you are facing.

Double-tap the NorthPointer to switch between the map facing North and the map facing the direction of motion. The default is to face in the direction of motion so that the paddler generally travels from the bottom of the screen to the top.

The North Pointer changes colour to indicate the GPS signal strength.

  • Green - strong signal.
  • Orange - fair signal.
  • Red - poor signal (or simulation mode).
