Quick Start Guide

KayakNav is designed to be hands free once you have set your preferences. Do this in the Settings App under "KayakNav".

When you are running KayakNav, tap the left, right or centre of the compass at the bottom of the screen for more options and settings.

Tap the left side of the compass to select overlay panels of data that you would like to show on the screen on top of the map. You can scroll the list by dragging up/down and drag items onto the map.

To follow a new route, draw a path on GoogleEarth and email the KMZ file to your device. Long press on the attachment and choose KayakNav as the application to open it. KayakNav will load and optimise the path and keep it in its database for quick loading.

If KayakNav has been started, it will automatically select the route that is closest to your current location.

Drag the map around and pinch/stretch to look around.

When you paddle past the start mark, the timers will be reset and you will be emailed your statistics when you cross the finish line. Along the way, the map will automatically pan, zoom and rotate to give you the best view of your track.
